Despite being almost 2 years out from the hurricanes, mental and behavioral health challenges persist for many. CFVI is coordinating a cluster of grants to address various facets of post-disaster mental/behavioral health in the Territory. To date, we have held 1 grantee cluster meeting and awarded grants to 4 entities: St. Thomas East End Medical Center, Frederiksted Health Care Inc., Island Health and Wellness Center, and John H. Woodson School. Grants are supporting counseling services, community health worker training, life coaching for teachers, and psychiatric services.
We will be collecting report information to assess impact and will share updates as the projects develop.
Thank you for the support!
