The recent formula shortage in the United States created a hardship for many families across the country. Product shortages in the United States created a domino effect for our facility in Haiti, where locating formula, especially dietary-specific items, is challenging during the best times. Much of our specialty formula comes from the United States; we ship it at a high expense. We've successfully managed to navigate the rising costs and dwindling supply through various measures. Our children receive quality nutrition specific to their needs even as sourcing these items becomes increasingly difficult. We've sourced formula from donors directly, sought out alternative sources in-country, and managed our existing stock effectively.
