GLA experiences a lot of challenges when it comes to nutrition. Many children in our NICU space and our Creche program suffer from malnutrition. In most cases, breast milk is not available as an option for nutrition. GLA relies heavily on formula to provide for the early development of our children. Much physical and cognitive development occurs in the first two years of life and that growth is fueled by the amount and quality of nutrition a child receives.
Allergens and special cases dictate that specialty formula is also a factor for many of these children. Children at GLA often rebound quickly and recover from early setbacks when they receive quality nutrition matched with the appropriate formula. These specialty formulas allow GLA to offer hope for more children through a better start.
