There are orphanages in Haiti who cannot afford baby formula for their little ones. They buy powdered milk which is supposed to be good for children but really isn't for babies. It gives them diarrhea and stomach issues. They don't gain weight and don't grow as they should. It does not have the vitamins and minerals that a baby needs.
That is why at GLA, we only give our babies formula especially made for babies. We give our children who are two years old and up powdered milk. We put it in their cereal and give it to them to drink. But we never give our babies this powdered milk. It is just too strong for their stomaches!
We have all kinds of baby formula and most of it is imported in from the States or Canada. We use speciality formula for our premature babies and that formula is higher in calories and especially formulated for their sensitive stomaches. We have newborn formula such as Similac or Enfamil or Good Start that is for the newborn to 6 month baby. Then we also have formulas for over 6 months, also those with sensitive stomaches, colic, gas, allergy, and lactose sensitive.
Every time you make a donation to our BABY FORMULA fund it goes to purchase the baby formula for our premature babies as well as the babies who are older. Your donations makes it possible for us to care for these babies. Thank you.
