The difference you have already made and the difference you can still make ! A story from our nursery…
This beautiful little girl, who I will call Lande came to us in mid April. We believe she was a little over a year old on arrival. At just 12 lbs 10 oz, Lande had obvious signs of severe malnutrition. She was treated right away and we slowly increased her food intake in her beginning days here. We thought for sure she would turn around quickly and she did well for about the first week... and then that's when it happened, her organs started failing. Her abdominal organs were palpable, she struggled to breath, she grimaced and gritted her teeth in pain, and then she become non-responsive to stimulation. For over one week, she was touch and go. On multiple IV antibiotics, respiratory treatments, and oxygen supplementation. Deep down, I truly thought we were going to lose this little one. Many of the nurses and nannies would hold her and try to comfort her and she fought for her life. Day after day she continued to fight. Day after day she got a little bit better. Day after day Jesus touched and healed her frail body. It is now three and half months later and beautiful Lande is bright and full of joy. She is now over 19 lbs and lights up the nursery with her beautiful smile, fun personality, and those deep, amazing dimples! We are so thankful for God's healing hand and we thank you for all your prayers. Way to go Lande!
Lande is doing so well, your gift of formula has allowed her to go from just surviving to thriving! The flight in this young girl is undeniable. We thank you for giving her the gift of life through formula!
