Receive greetings from those of us who are part of Fundación Tarahumara José A. Llaguno. In advance we wish to express our sincere gratitude for the generosity you have shown in supporting our cause.
We have worked tirelessly to improve the living conditions of the girls, boys, young people and communities of the Sierra Tarahumara. This year, thanks to your contribution, we continue with our commitment to transform lives through education and community development, accompanying them in training and educational processes.
We are very pleased to share with you the results obtained during these last 4 months from the period February to June. It is with great satisfaction that we share that 19 graduate students from various university and technical careers have successfully completed their university studies, such as a bachelor's degree in nursing, engineering in sustainable and protected agriculture, engineering in sustainable forest management, and a technical career in hospitality services. Of which 85% are women and 15% are men.
We continue to advance together with indigenous young people so that they remain with their studies, accompanying them in their high school stage and in their academic training, providing workshops that allow them to generate socio-emotional, communication and, above all, cultural identity skills, allowing them to have a clearer vision of their path to the future. During this period, 52 women and 30 men successfully graduated from high school. Giving a total of 82 students. Currently, 299 students continue their academic training, of which 46% are men and 54% are women.
Thank you for believing in our mission and for contributing to making the world a better place for the communities of the Sierra Tarahumara, together we are generating a positive impact that transcends generations.
With gratitude and appreciation, matetera ba (thank you).
