Once again, we thank our donors for their contribution and commitment to the young indigenous students of the Sierra Tarahumara.
On this occasion, we want to share with you the progress generated in the last four months. Currently our students are studying the second semester of the 2023-2024 school year, we have 1,858 middle school, high school and university students enrolled. Where 54% are women.
Derived from the increase in the number of students in the communities of the Sierra Tarahumara, it was necessary to expand the infrastructure of the student service centers. We are happy to share with you that a new service center has opened in the Guadalupe and Calvo area.
It is noteworthy that these attention centers have an important value during the educational offer of professional workshops, where high school students participate, who are about to complete this educational level, in addition to encouraging them to continue with their university life.
We inform that 35 students who have recently graduated from high school are already pursuing university studies. Most of them, 51%, are related to engineering careers.
We trust that they will continue with their contributions to provide continuity in support for young indigenous students, generating opportunities for development and well-being for them and their families.
¡Matétera ba!(Thanks –rarámuri)
