A new school year 2022-2023 is starting, we are happy to share with you that 500 high school and university students are participants in the education program operated by the Tarahumara Jose A Llaguno Foundation.

Every day at least 12 students attend one of the contact centers located in Yerbitas in the municipality of Guadalupe y Calvo, in the community of Guachochi in the municipality of Guachochi, in the community of Creel, municipality of Bocoyna and the fourth center in Chihuahua.

During the months of September and October, there were 302 visits to the contact centers, students used the facilities that have Internet and computer equipment.

At thestart of this period, 500 students are accompanied in educational training processes with the main objective being to generate greater opportunities for development (being and doing in freedom), based on favoring conditions of equity in access to inclusive education.

The main goal in these spaces is to promote the participation and organization of the students, starting from the integration of small groups. Strengthening the identity and appropriation of these spaces as Fundación Tarahumara students.

My name is Daniel Muní Chaparro, I am originally from the community of scissors, Municipality of Gpe y Calvo, Chihuahua. I am a young man who speaks the Tepehuan mother tongue and I also speak Spanish. I study at the Technological University of Tarahumara, in Guachochi, the career of Engineer in Sustainable and Protected Agriculture, I am currently in the fourth semester. Going to the university house represents tranquility, freedom and it is always very comfortable, I feel that it is my home there because they welcome me very well, and I can also have fun with my colleagues who go too. What I go to the university house is to do homework, research, use the internet, books and computers. If I didn't have a place to go to do my homework, it would be difficult for me to continue with my studies. Of the things that I think our university house lacks is a room to be able to do homework or read, also to put more heaters since it is cold time it gets very cold, as well as firewood to be able to put on a fire.
