We have not yet raised funds to empower a further 8 of the world's poorest children with life changing education. We currently sponsor 30 children at Bethel School, North Burkina and are looking to help more of the 800+ students at the school. By sponsoring a child they are able to access education by having their fees paid, but very importantly they get a regular health check to ensure they remain in school and do not have long times off sick. They also receive essential books and resources to aid their education.
Burkina Faso has 1.8million secondary aged children that cannot access education. At Bethel School Giving Africa aims to create a model of excellence where students have access to quality and relevant education - giving them the choice when leaving school to either; attend further education; gain employment or set up their own business. This will not only bring themselves out of poverty but will support 12 of their family network.
It costs just £225 a year, £18.75 a month, to support a child's education and give them the opportunity to change their and their family's lives for the better.
