Seon Ashram trust®, a home for destitute and unprivileged people in the society. It is a registered rehabilitation centre for the mentally challenged, mentally ill, physically handicapped, aged, misued women on street, orphan school going children and infants. This Ashram situated at a village named Gandibagilu, Belthangady Taluk, in Dakshina Kannada District, Karnataka State. This has been established in the year 1999 by a layman, Mr. U.C Paulose from the same village. “Whatsoever you do to the least of my brethren, that you do unto me,” are the words from Holy scripture was the inspiration for starting the home for the destitute and neglected, trusting the bountiful hands of God Almighty. At present the Ashram has strength of 285 patients belonging to different parts of India.
The Ashram is a home for 50 aged women and men. They are looked after until they breathe their last peacefully. Activities and care are provided according to their age, type of problem and situation. There are the volunteers who will engage themselves in the different type of activities which is going on in the Ashram including taking care of the old age people. Some of them are engaged in one or the other activities, which will help them to forget their stresses and to make them busy. Some of them are interested in the craft works. They also participate in different game competitions, sports etc. Seon Ashram Trust gives equal importance to all kinds of disabilities and trying to make them to lead a happy life within and outside of this Ashram.
Purpose of the Project is to ensure access of 50 poor helpless and destitute old Aged persons in Seon Ashram for safe accommodation, tender love, proper care, nourishment, health service and other basic needs through establishment and operation of a sustainable Old Aged home.
