Provision of Food and Medical to 45 children

As of June 2026, Tahanan ng Pagmamahal Children's Home Inc. is providing loving care and comprehensive support to forty-one (41) children, ranging in age from 6 months to 14 years old. Of these, seven (7) are infants and eight (8) are toddlers. All thirteen (13) infants and toddlers, along with five (5) older children who are underweight, have poor appetites, or have special medical conditions, receive specialized milk formula, including PediaSure, as prescribed by their pediatrician and pediatric endocrinologist.

Every child is served three nutritious meals each day, carefully prepared with fresh vegetables, fruits, and protein-rich foods to promote healthy growth and development. The older children, particularly those aged five (5) years and above, continue to enjoy healthy appetites and especially look forward to locally grown fruits such as bananas and mangoes, which have become a favorite part of their daily meals.

During this reporting period, the country's unpredictable weather—marked by extreme daytime heat followed by heavy afternoon rains—contributed to an increase in seasonal illnesses among the children. As a result, twenty (20) children were brought to the clinic for prompt medical assessment and treatment due to fever, cough, colds, and recurring respiratory conditions, including asthma and pneumonia. Children with chronic respiratory illnesses continued to receive their prescribed maintenance medications, including Seretide, Montelukast, and Salbutamol, while others were treated with antibiotics and multivitamins as needed. Our Registered Nurse closely monitors each child's health, ensuring timely medical care and continuous follow-up. We also remain committed to keeping every child up to date with recommended vaccinations, helping protect them from preventable diseases.
