Orphaned and vulnerable children in Nigeria struggle to access adequate food and clothing due to poverty, displacement, the loss of parents, and economic hardship. Some go to bed hungry, wear torn clothing, or lack basic necessities needed for healthy growth and development. Many live in households that cannot consistently provide nutritious meals or suitable clothing. UNICEF estimates that Nigeria has millions of orphaned/vulnerable children, while millions more face food insecurity & hardship.
Many orphaned and vulnerable children in Nigeria face daily challenges accessing adequate food, clothing, and other basic necessities. Poverty, the loss of parents, displacement, and economic hardship leave many children dependent on overstretched caregivers who struggle to meet their needs. As a result, some children experience hunger, wear worn-out clothing, and lack essential items needed for healthy growth, dignity, and participation in school and community life.
This project will provide food and clothing assistance to orphaned and vulnerable children in Nigeria who are struggling to meet their basic needs. Children will receive nutritious food supplies, clothing, and other essential items to improve their health, comfort, and well-being. The project will prioritize the most vulnerable children, including orphans, children living in extreme poverty, and those affected by displacement. This will help reduce hardship & improve their quality of life.
This project will help orphaned and vulnerable children meet their basic needs, reducing the immediate effects of poverty and deprivation. Improved access to food and clothing can support better health, school participation, and personal development. In the long run, the project will contribute to stronger families and communities by giving children a better chance to learn, grow, and pursue brighter futures.
