The Flood Relief Campaign being run by Fatima Memorial Hospital (FMH) and NUR Foundation (NF), Lahore, builds on 17 years of disaster relief and rehabilitation work by NUR Foundation, as NF came into being as a result of the 2005 earthquake. We can assure that all funding we receive is in line with a planned relief and rehabilitation framework. We continue to appeal to friends and family for contributions as the scale of this calamity is unprecedented. Our focus is currently on the provision of medical relief with a curative as well as a preventative focus.
Since September 2022, with your support, 6,841 patients have been treated so far at NUR Foundation Medical Camps at Flood affected areas, Distribution of 115,766 prescribed medicines, Health Awareness Session with more than 2400 attendees at the Medical Health Camps and around 6000 water purification tablets with 12,800 multivitamins were provided at the flood-hit areas in South Punjab, Baluchistan, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Recently (April, 2023) NUR Foundation with Fatima Memorial Hospital collaborated with Alam Welfare Foundation in Khyber Pakhtankhawa for ration distributuion amongst flood affectees. Villages Near River Qabil, Charsadda, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were identified as deserving and were provided with basic dietery necessites inlcluding Flour, Sugar, Red beans, Utensils, and Dates.
