During this reporting period, donations made it possible for Habitat for Humanity Mexico to explore and assess a new intervention area in Tijuana, Baja California, laying the groundwork for a transformative initiative that will improve the lives of vulnerable children and their families.
Through community assessments, engagement with local stakeholders, and project design, we developed the proposal for 100 Thousand Floors to Play with Tenderness, an innovative model that combines safe housing improvements with positive parenting, child protection, and community participation.
If implemented, the project will replace 100 dirt floors with concrete floors, benefiting approximately 600 people while creating healthier, safer, and more nurturing environments where children can play, learn, and thrive. Beyond improving housing conditions, the initiative strengthens caregivers, empowers community leaders, and helps build resilient communities with greater opportunities for children to reach their full potential.
