ISKCON helps flood victims in Kerala
For the past few weeks, Kerala has been constantly on the headlines for being under the grip of devastating floods. The following news report would throw light on the reason for the floods and how ISKCON is extending a helping hand in providing relief to the flood victims.
Relief efforts from ISKCON
Devotees from various ISKCON centres all over the Kerala sprang up immediately into action and arranged to deliver relief material, prasadam and volunteer help at the relief camps
ISKCON Trivandrum: A truck carrying relief material for 5000 persons, 3000 litres of water, blankets and medicine left for Tiruvalla. A twelve member devotee team including doctors and a pharmacist accompanied the truck to the camp.
ISKCON Cochin: Devotees prepared huge quantities of prasadam and distributed for flood victims at Swami Vivekananda Cultural society camp, Cochin.
ISKCON Thrissur : Hare Krishna Satsang members at Ayyanthole distributed essential relief aids at various camps in Little Flower convent school campus , Vivekodayam school campus , Sree Keralavarama College campus and Nedupuzha Polytechnic school campus.
