Dear Friends and Donors,
Thanks to all your support, we have been able to provide flood relief to more than 150 families by helping them to rebuild their homes damaged due to the Chennai Floods.
Here are some more stories how families were supported:
Pachayappan resides in Keezhakandai village of Kanchipuram district with his wife, Kuppammal and three children. He has two daughters and a son. The family belongs to a poor socio-economic background. All his children got married and they live by themselves in a thatched house. The house was trapped in the flood and collapsed. The living space was washed away completely. After the floods, they struggled a lot with no shelter. Considering their tough situation, they were supported with Rs.50000 to rebuild their house.
Ms. Chellammal a widow with no family lives alone in Zameen Endathur Village. Her thatched house home was fully damaged and collapsed during the floods. She had to live with their neighbours for a long time. Chellammal was supported for the complete reconstruction of her home with the support of funds received from Global Giving Flood relief. She was provided over Rs. 170,000 toward the construction. Kalanjiyam team fully took responsibility for hiring a contractor and in re-building her home. Chellammal now has a home that will last for many decades and one which she has never had before. Chellammal thanks all of you for your support.
Thanks to all for your generous support
