Thanks to your generosity, we've been able to train 33 people so far in Basic First Aid, in collaboration with the Peruvian Red Cross!
In November, we held 3 days of trainings where a combination of Shipibo healers, community health promoters, and students very actively participated.
We help this training in the city, which allowed for us to begin with trainings even though we have not yet reached our total project goal. To be able to take the course into the communities requires a bigger budget, for transportation, food, accommodation, etc., and it's also where the training will make a bigger difference!
We look forward to continuing to fundraise for this project so we can complete our promise and bring this life-saving training into the communities. We also plan to follow the Basic First Aid Training with Injection Techniques, so that the highly skilled and professional traditional Shipibo doctors can also do things like insert IVs and inject antibiotics, in case of emergency.
Thank you for your support!!
Gratefully, the Oni Xobo Team.
