Thanks to your generosity we raised over $7,000 during the month of June to support our on-going organic seed saving and farmer education programs in the Philippines. We are so grateful for this support, that will enable more Filipino organic farmers to access organic seeds and empowering farmer education and training programs.

A large portion of these funds will support the costs to re-build and re-pair damaged greenhouses and crop rain-shelters. Due to the rising impacts of climate-change storms in the Philippines continue to strengthen and leave many greenhouses demolished. This causes extreme crop damage that impacts food security and the livelihood of the farmers we serve.
We are excited to be collaborating with Red Rocks Community College engineering students to design more sustainable greenhouses that will not only withstand strong typhoon winds but also ensure longevity and durability. We are working with the Red Rocks Community College Idea Lab to provide this dynamic real world application to these students engineering education. At the end of this collaboration we will have two greenhouse design prototypes we plan to implement in the Philippines in early 2017.
