Dear Donors,
Thanks for your support of Grow Against Poverty’s Green Fields program. Students at nine schools are actively participating in planting, weeding, fertilizing and harvesting vegetables that are then served for lunch to over 2,000 of their classmates. Staff have seen an increase in attendance at these schools as this is often the best meal of the day for many students. We would like to keep extending this program to other schools in Busia County.
$2,000 covers the cost to get a school started with a ½ acre garden. Once established, these gardens are self-sustaining as 10% of the produce is sold to fund the second yearly growing season.
We hope that you will continue donating to Green Fields by clicking GIVE NOW. Contributions can be made anytime. Please consider becoming a MONTHLY DONOR.
Regards,
John Roccanova
