I look back over the past seven months of 2016, at the people who have walked through our doors seeking assistance. It is sobering to realize that there is so much need in this County. Over 1,187 unduplicated persons have accessed our many services. Of this number, 405 were new to Shepherd’s Table. The need is great, as we have already served 25,931 dinner meals and 5,133 brunch meals through July 31st.
I find joy knowing that we were here with open arms, welcoming the hungry, the lonely, the folks needing help in accessing housing and social services and medical care, or clothing and eye care.
It is truly the gift of YOU, and the opportunity to pull together our resources, passion, skills and abilities, and our deep caring together that helps to make this community and every person’s life better.
