Visiting a village to talk with leaders

Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous donation to our project feeding severely malnourished children. This project is indeed very important because of the imperative to provide food and nutrition to children so that they grow healthy and their physical and mental capacities are improved. Without this, they will grow-up as stunted adults both physically and mentally. This reporting period, our team visited 3 villages in Albuera, Leyte in order to talk with leaders and the members of the community to plan out and develop a strategy how this could be done. Improving health and nutrition can be done in several aspects like directly providing food or starting a livelihood but our aim is to learn and hear from parents what best could be done. In this aspect our approach will be long-term and sustainable. In total we were able to discuss and talk with 75 members of the community as well as see the situation of the villages first hand. There is really a need to ground the program to the needs of the local population in order for the program to succeed.

Hoping for your continuing support to our project.

Very sincerely yours,

Cesario
