Festive Household Support Report

By Kelvin Eze | Project Assistant

For many families, the festive season is a time of joy and celebration. However, for vulnerable households facing economic hardship, it can also be a period of uncertainty. To help ensure that families in underserved communities could celebrate with dignity, United Way Nigeria organized a special Food Drive as part of its festive outreach.

Thanks to the generous support of donors through GlobalGiving, United Way Nigeria received $686 to support vulnerable households during the festive season. These funds were used to implement our Food Drive Initiative, designed to provide essential relief to families facing economic hardship.

With the available funding, United Way Nigeria was able to reach several vulnerable households across underserved communities. Our team mobilized volunteers to organize, package, and distribute these items directly to families in need. The food packages included staple items designed to help families prepare nourishing meals and ease the burden many experience during the holiday period.

The outreach not only provided much-needed supplies but also created opportunities for meaningful engagement with beneficiaries. By visiting communities and interacting directly with families, we gained deeper insight into their challenges while offering encouragement and support.

We are deeply grateful to the generous donors whose contributions made this initiative possible. Through your support, United Way Nigeria continues to bring relief, hope, and dignity to families who need it most. Together, we are building stronger and more resilient communities.
