Feed Starving Girls

Warmest greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative feeding starving girls. We are happy to inform you that despite difficulties caused by severe climate changes and the poor productivity of small farms, we are able to support local villages improve food supply and provide nutrtition to poor women and girls. This reporting period, we are piloting a small plot gardening model that local families can easily implement in their homes. This is designed to improve their sources of food and nutrition as buying vegetables in the market is prohibitive. This approach is the easiest way wherein we are able to improve the health and well-being of poor families. Our pilot garden model is implemented in one village with the aim of increasing this to 3-4 villages in the coming months and as we see results and calibrate for problems and issues arising from our implementation. Dear Friend,

Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project feeding starving girls. The problem with girls living in remote villages is that they are often left-out in the distribution of scarce food and other resources in their families. During this reporting period, rather than providing directly food aid, we decided to provide small livelihoods to girls and their families. The livelihood of choice is the raising of small animals like chickens for this is easy to do and they are free-ranging and do not require much care. We were able to distribute 300 chicks to 30 girls in this manner, thanks also to our local supporters who provided us with assistance. Hoping for your continuing support as we implement this important initiative.
