Give Food. Give Hope. Build a Food-Secure Future.
By Brenda Namagembe | Project Leader
Karamoja’s vulnerable families are confronting a painful combination of drought, crop failure, poverty, and food insecurity. Many households have exhausted their food reserves and have few resources to recover without outside assistance.
The Girl Child Foundation Uganda is working to provide a practical response that meets immediate needs while preparing families for a more secure future. Through this project, vulnerable households will receive emergency food assistance, while children and pregnant mothers will receive targeted nutrition support. Families will also be supported with climate-smart farming knowledge and assistance to strengthen future food production.
Your generosity can make an immediate difference. A donation can help a family survive the current hunger crisis while contributing to the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to withstand future climate shocks.
Together, we can transform emergency relief into a foundation for resilience, dignity, and hope.

A Meal of Hope for Families in Karamoja
By Brenda Namagembe | Project Leader
For thousands of families in Karamoja, hunger is no longer a distant threat—it is a daily reality. Prolonged drought and repeated crop failures have severely weakened household food supplies, leaving vulnerable families unable to meet their basic nutritional needs.
This project will deliver emergency food support to households experiencing severe hunger, with special attention to children and pregnant mothers who require adequate nutrition to survive and thrive. We will also provide practical climate-smart farming assistance to help families rebuild food production despite increasingly unpredictable weather conditions.
Your support can help put nutritious food on a hungry child’s plate and give a vulnerable mother the strength she needs. At the same time, your generosity can help families develop sustainable farming skills that reduce dependence on emergency assistance.
A donation today can become a meal, a healthier child, a stronger mother, and a more resilient family tomorrow.

Saving Lives Today, Building Resilience for Tomorr
By Brenda Namagembe | Project Leader
Families across Uganda’s Karamoja region are facing a devastating hunger crisis as prolonged drought, crop failure, poverty, and limited livelihood opportunities leave vulnerable households struggling to find their next meal. Children, pregnant women, elderly people, and families with little or no income are among those facing the greatest risk.
Through this project, The Girl Child Foundation Uganda will provide emergency food assistance to vulnerable families while supporting children and pregnant mothers with essential nutrition. Alongside immediate relief, we will help households adopt climate-smart farming practices that can improve food production and strengthen their ability to withstand future droughts.
Your donation can provide more than food—it can offer hope to a family facing another hungry day. Every contribution will help us respond to urgent nutritional needs while investing in sustainable solutions that can restore livelihoods.
Together, we can save lives today and help Karamoja families build a stronger, more food-secure tomorrow.
