“Once upon a time there was a country, where one day the sky drop and drop that much that its people had to live squatting. Those were very difficult times, until one day one person, and then another one, and then a hundred and then thousands began to push to lift the sky again. Today, EL SALADO has raised itself and became great again, thanks to the support of many and the amazing hard work of its people”. El Salado is these days a symbol of forgiveness, reconciliation and strength of Colombia and its people.
We are very proud to say that with your ongoing support we have been able to support these community during the months in which the COVID has impacted very hard, leaving the poorest in even worst conditions.
Your donations allowed us to send food packages and personal care items to more than 300 families in El Salado that would otherwise go to sleep on an empty stomach. But there is still so much need in El Salado, a little village 890 kms north of Bogotá. They are in continuos need of food to cover their very basic needs and they are counting on you for it. Our main objective is that food access becomes a right not a privilege in our Colombia.
