Yomini’s Success

Yomini recently completed a Psychology Counseling course at SLICT University and received her Diploma Certificate. She is very grateful to everyone who supported her. In 2019, Yomini thanked us for school books on behalf of 3500 children, worried she would have to leave school to help her family. Despite many challenges, her hard work and determination have kept her in school. Her father quit his job to care for her bedridden mother. Thanks to your support, her mother is now recovering and standing upright. Special thanks to donors for their support. Yomini’s success is a testament to the power of our community. We are proud of Yomini and grateful to all our supporters.

Chamali’s* Story

Thanks to our wonderful supporters, many mums in Sri Lanka, like Chamali, have been able to celebrate Mother’s Day at home with their children. Chamali* walks 7 km to two schools every day and sleeps on a mattress on the floor, but she has a roof over her head and an unwavering mother’s love. Her two boys, rescued from orphanages a few years ago, are safe and thriving. Amisha, 10, is doing brilliantly at school, especially in maths, thanks to extra tuition online with a phone donated by TFT during the COVID pandemic. Your generosity helps keep families and children out of orphanages together.

Sunila’s* Journey

Meeting Sunila* and her children again, thriving five years after the Easter Sunday atrocity in 2019, was very special. She expressed immense gratitude to our supporters. Your donations provided vital food packs, medication, transportation to hospitals, and children's education in the aftermath. We helped Sunila’s* family become self-sufficient and set up a garden nursery business named Angel Garden. Both her eldest son and youngest daughter are now working towards their pilot’s licenses and speak excellent English. Sunila* is very proud of them. Thank you to all who donated back then. Your generosity has made a lasting impact on this family and helped them create a positive story from tragic circumstances.
