According to the World Food Programme, “Not only do the consequences of not enough – or the wrong – food cause suffering and poor health, they also slow progress in many other areas of development like education and employment.” Poor and inadequate nutrition also leaves children vulnerable to diseases and illness, and can cause stunted growth.
While one side of the world lives with a lot of privileges, another side lives in absolute poverty. They are deprived of their wants and the pandemic made things much worse for them with irregular wages. These children have very limited resources to meet their basic requirements.
For them, Don Bosco Nivas raised a helping hand and fed 60 Children who were malnourished. We focused on the underprivileged, weak, runaway and street children who needed our support. We provided them the nutritious and adequate food one can have for the day to overcome their hunger. We hope to continue our works in the future and provide for those who are facing the scarcity of food.
