Spring update from Bolivia - See how YOU are making a difference!

Spring is in the air in Bolivia and the children are looking forward to warmer weather!  Here are some highlghts from the last few months.

Tahuantinsuyo update:

In August, in a heartwarming celebration of academic achievements, the Help Bolivia Foundation bestowed a small cash prize upon the bright young minds who successfully completed grade 9 and are graduating from grade 12.

For recipients and families, these graduation awards are a recognition of academic achievement and a lifeline toward higher education goals. The gratitude expressed by families in the room echoed their appreciation for these awards, which offer a ray of hope to their educational dreams.

Thank you to our Help Bolivia Foundation donors: your unwavering commitment to education has made these moments possible, transforming the lives of these students and their families. You've enabled dreams and sown the seeds for a better tomorrow!

In September the computer lab got a sealed floor! The lab, a space that has been a hub of learning and innovation since its opening, is now dust-free.

Dust might seem like a minor issue, but it can be a silent saboteur in the world of technology. Dust particles can clog up computer components, reduce efficiency, and even lead to costly repairs.

Over the past few weeks, the computer room floor has been sealed to create a pristine environment. This process not only eliminates the dust problem but also improves the overall air quality. Now, the lab is once again a busy hive of study sessions and creativity for the children.

Our donors have not only funded the computer lab but continue to improve the lives of the children and their families. Thank you for making this possible!

Villa Ingenio update:

In August the Villa Ingenio community program resumed after winter break despite extreme blustery weather. Brimming with anticipation, children and their families defied the winds, turning up in full force, much to everyone's delight and surprise. The kids had a lot of fun! A warm and hearty welcome back to all the enthusiastic kids as they embark on a new chapter of discovery and growth in the embrace of Villa Ingenio.

In September a new program launched at Villa Ingenio on Tuesday mornings. Ten children with severe learning difficulties come to the Centre for tutoring in math and languages, which are challenging subjects. Lunch is also served, with much anticipation by the children.

The Saturday program continues to be very popular! The children play games with values-based learning modules and sing together, along with many other activities, to help them learn and grow. The older children also enjoy choreography and dance practice.

The Villa Ingenio program is still growing. There is a need for a computer centre, additional teaching and educational supplies, a photocopier, a printer, and more volunteer educators to provide more individualized support for the kids. On top of these needs, an ongoing drought in Bolivia has paralyzed food production, raising the cost of nutritious foods like vegetables and grains.

Despite these hurdles, Villa Ingenio is a place of hope for the children and their families. Your support is their lifeline, offering the promise of a brighter future. With your help, we are shaping these children into good people and role models for those around them.

They are learning, growing, and dreaming because of you. Your support fuels our hope, determination, and resilience in the face of challenges. thank you for making this possible!

Together we are building brighter futures for these children, and we are so very grateful for your support!
