Project Update Summary

Project: Help 500 El Niño Drought Victims in Zimbabwe
Subject: Donated Funds Utilized Towards the Project Goals
Date: 28 April 2025

Summary

Thanks to the generous support from donors, we have made significant progress in assisting communities affected by the El Niño-induced drought in Zimbabwe.

Key Achievements:
  • Distributed food hampers (maize meal, beans, cooking oil, salt) to over [insert number] families.

  • Repaired 1 borehole and provided water purification tablets, restoring clean water access to thousands.

  • Conducted hygiene and nutrition awareness sessions and offered basic health check-ups to vulnerable groups.

Fund Utilization:
  • Funds were primarily used for emergency food aid, clean water initiatives, health outreach, and essential operational costs.

  • $200  received; $200 spent so far.

Challenges:
  • Increasing number of families in urgent need.

  • Difficulties in reaching remote communities due to poor infrastructure.

Next Steps:
  • Continue expanding food and water distribution.

  • Launch livelihood recovery initiatives to support long-term resilience.
