Fedujazz has expanded to offer more diverse programs. Next March 9, 2016 Fedujazz is starting its very first dance lessons with french master Jimmy Guilmet. The dance program will be divided into 4 age groups: 6 to 9 year olds, 10 to 12 year olds, 13 to 15 year olds and 16 to 17 year olds. The maximum number of participants allowed per class is 15 and lessons will be on Wednesdays and Thursdays. The dance program will give students endless opportunities to develop their individuality, creativity, dance knowledge and technique.
The Fedujazz music program currently provides 223 local children with free, ongoing music education and training in Cabarete. The program also includes Kindermusic that serves as a foundation for all music styles. A large diversity of instruments is taught from guitar, drums, piano, violin and now saxophone without forgetting music theory. In that way we make it clear to students that is very important to understand how music works, to write and perform music and be able to critically listen to music.
