We have during these trying times taken our programming online. Offering classs via zoom and google classroom. This has enabled us to engange with even more students. For our summer camp program we partnered up with three programs. P.S.7 in Queens, The PSA Cardinals, and Brooklyn Bridge Academy. At PS7 we completed a workshop for there summer school. The PSA Cardinals and Brooklyn Bridge Academy students went through a 12 week online program 12 zoom class meetings supported by home work via google classroom. At the end of the 12weeks students presented there final design work for Nike Designers & Executives.
The Knowledge learned during the summer camp was not only valued by our students we are confident will last with them a lifetime. They learn not only design thinking but they also learn presentation and communication skills. Making it a true work force development and entrepreneurship building program.
With the success of the virtual summer camp 2020 We are working towards a more robust summer Camp for summer 2021 impacting even more underserved and underrepresented youth.
