Hey friend!
The International Day of the Girl Child is approaching on October 11th. We can't wait to see you at the Amsterdamse Bos (or in your own city!) to run together for all girls and non-binary kids.
This is an especially important day. Did you know that girls in Amsterdam experience still high levels of psychological challenges, school-related stress and loneliness? (Link) Across the Netherlands, 65% of LGBTQIA+ respondents to a European survey reported experiencing bullying, insults or threats at school because of who they are. (Link)
At Project Fearless, we change that. We give every girl and genderfluid child a safe, supportive third space to move, discover themselves, and find community. By running with us, you're helping these vulnerable groups of children know that there are role models out there who are cheering and showing up for them.
We've impacted 2677 girls and kids to date with your support. We're aiming to support 600 more in 2027. Help us achieve our dream!
Did you miss the Fearless 5K registrations for Amsterdam? You can still help us by making a donation on GlobalGiving, or signing us as a remote runner here.
See you on Sunday!
P.S. I'll be around on Oct 11th in the Amsterdamse Bos to say hi. You can find me with my name tag on.
