Fair Haven Rape Crisis Center General Support

New things are happening here at Fair Haven. I have been promoted to be the Director of Transitional Housing, a new department that will be built from the literal ground up soon. This amazing opportunity will allow us to serve adult survivors in an additional way. We are looking forward to providing another resource for those who are in great need. I have learned so much working directly with survivors one on one and in the support group settings. I am so excited about this new challenge, and I look forward to being able to serve them in a new way.

Please meet Melissa. She is our new Crisis Response Coordinator. Melissa most recently served as our Anti-Trafficking Coordinator and has done some amazing work with survivors of human trafficking. I have no doubt that she will do great things in this role as well.

On another note, the holiday season is around the corner. During this time of year, we like to do things that are extra special for our adult survivors. We do things such as hosting a holiday themed support group where we participate in a relaxing activity together, because for some the holidays can be a time filled with grief or isolation. Additionally, we try to help survivors and their families with things that may provide financial relief such as grocery gift cards for meals.
