Hello gracious donors!
Fall is in full effect and we have been busy! Within the last month, we have seen an increase in our hospital calls. With our services becoming more known throughout the community, survivors have been reaching out to us more frequently. Our advocates have been hard at work going to hospitals all over Northwest Indiana giving survivors resources and comfort. The Direct Service Department continues to grow with the hiring of two advocates to our team, Morgan and Lily. Lily will be assisting our Spanish speaking clients while Morgan will assist with our adult survivors and crisis intervention. Changes to our leadership team has happened as well with my accepting of the role as the new Crisis Response Coordinator. In my new role, I will continue make our services known while providing intervention and healing. Fair Haven is passionate about continuing to expand our team and to aid survivors from all communities who have dealt with the trauma of sexual assault.
We also will be expanding our office within the next month.This will allow us to have more space to aid our survivors, especially survivors who have young children. Also, with more space our staff will have more storage to put materials and to have more room for counseling sessions with our clients.
On Sunday November 5th will be our annual Fairy Tale Ball! Tickets are on sale and can be purchased through our website. The event will be from 1 to 4pm at the Halls of St. George in Schererville. There will be entertainment, food, and other refreshments. Fairy Godparent sponsorships by the community, will be available for our clients who wish to attend. For more information go to our link
