Hello wonderful donors!
Summer is officially here, with the longest and hottest days ahead of us. We started off our summer great by hosting our 19th Annual Walk in the Park to raise awareness for sexual assault. There were many local businesses and organizations that were a part of this day to make it the best grand finale. They brought food, fun, and festivities! Everyone's generous support and contributions raised over $5,000. It's amazing to see the impact a group of like-minded people can make, when united by a worthy cause. Thank you to everyone that came to support!
We have restructured the Sexual Assault Response Teams (SART). We are now meeting with separate districts, we have done that so we are able to focus on every district's separate issues. This allows us to efficiently collaborate with our community partners to stop sexual violence. In SART, we discuss how we can be more helpful to survivors. We have Sexual Assault Advocate Training (SAAT) coming up in August if you are interested. This training prepares you to respond to sexual assault victims in the hospital in Lake, Laporte, and Porter Counties. Please contact us if you are interested.
Thank you for your generous support. We appreciate each and everyone of you. We hope you are all enjoying your summer and we will be sending out more updates soon.
