A few of our scholars
Thank you for your support in 2020. We appreciate your investment in STEM Advantage Scholars. Please know that 100% of your tax-deductible gift funds scholarships to help low-income, first-generation college students stay in school, earn a bachelor's degree, and graduate with less student debt.
The pandemic did not affect everyone equally. According to the Wall Street Journal, "workers with bachelor's degrees or higher had nearly fully recovered jobs lost in early spring" by September. That is why our program is critical and we want to scale in 2021.
Thanks to you, our program (internships, mentors, scholarships, professional development, and community) is having an impact:
- 100% graduation rate and hire rate post-graduation
- 460 Scholars; half are women, two-thirds are students of color
- Over $1.2 million in scholarships awarded to date
- $71,000 average starting salary with a top salary of $100,000
We are inspired by our Scholars who persevered and stayed on track to graduate through a challenging year and grateful to you for supporting them through this difficult time. Working together, we can advance racial equality and economic opportunity for women and underserved communities.
To diversify your workforce by hiring diverse talent for internships and entry-level positions related to science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), please contact President & Founder Lee Ann Kline at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Stay safe and healthy in 2021!
