Expanding Energy Access & Knowledge in Peru

We are thrilled to announce that the installation of solar systems in remote communities has been progressing smoothly. In recent months, we have successfully installed solar panel systems in two households in Lobitos and 1 medical center in Suyo. The household solar systems provide much-needed electricity to families who previously had little or no access to power, enabling them to improve their quality of life, and the medical center solar systems are used to power appliances like refrigerators, which play a crucial role in storing vaccines. 

As part of our ongoing efforts to promote knowledge and skills in renewable energy, we recently conducted a series of operations and maintenance training workshops for medical center staff. These workshops focused on the maintenance and cleaning of solar systems. Families were also trained, ensuring that they will have the capacity to manage their solar energy systems long after the initial installation. The enthusiasm and dedication of the participants were truly inspiring, and many of them are eager to share their newfound knowledge with others in their communities.

The new solar installations are already having a significant impact on local health centers. They can now store vaccines at the proper temperatures, improve lighting for medical procedures, and ensure that critical equipment remains operational. We have also been empowering local communities by providing them with the tools and knowledge surrounding energy efficiency.
