The Third quarter was a great blessing to us but also greatly increased our need for support! The school session had over 280 children attending classes daily! And we completed the building of the teachers' dorms except for doors, which we still need. However, since about 80% of the children that attend the school are orphaned, we currenlty have approximatley 50 boys and girls living on site at the school. Because of this we have utilized 2 rooms in the teachers' dorms that were going to be used by teachers. This has increased the urgency of getting doors on the teachers' dorms and created an urgent need for bunk beds so the children won't have to continue to sleep on mats on the floor. The government's education representaitves visted the school this quarter as well and are happy with our level of education provided, the progress of the students, and the over all job the staff is doing. They even invited us to join the interschool sports leagues so our students can compete against other students from other schools. Our boys and girls competed in football and did very well! This too has created another need as the children competed bare foot as they do not have appropriate athletic footwear or team jerseys. Our Executive Director, Mugeuma Jude was able to buy some goats that now live on site to provide milk. As the number of children attending and the number of children living on site continues to grow, we are in great need of financial support! We are so grateful for the blessings God has given us and are excited to see how he provides and where he grows this mission from here!
