Feeding Project Update

By Jeongbae Son | Project Leader

We continued providing a nutritious hot meal every Thursday to children attending six Neighborhood Care Points (NCPs) in Eswatini: Mvutjini, Nkhanini, Ekuzukekeni, Elangeni, Mlindazwe, and Ezulwini.

During this quarter, an average of 369 children received a nutritious meal each week across the six NCPs. On 14 May, we recorded our highest attendance of the quarter, serving 413 children in a single day: 140 at Mvutjini, 80 at Nkhanini, 45 at Ekuzukekeni, 48 at Elangeni, 13 at Mlindazwe, and 87 at Ezulwini.

Children enjoyed a balanced meal of rice with chicken and vegetable stew, providing essential protein, vitamins, and iron that are often missing from their daily diets. Our local staff shared that many children eagerly look forward to Thursdays each week. After enjoying a warm meal, they participate more actively in learning and recreational activities. This weekly meal provides not only nourishment but also a sense of care, stability, and hope.

Rising food prices continue to present a challenge for our programme. However, thanks to your generous support, we were able to provide every planned meal throughout the quarter and continue reaching vulnerable children with reliable nutrition.

Thank you for standing with us and with the children of Eswatini. Your support provides far more than a meal—it gives children the strength to learn, the confidence to dream, and hope for a brighter future.
