Sandurot Festival is celebrated annually by the people of Dumaguete every September, led by its city government, to highlight the meeting of cultures, both foreign and local.
To celebrate the diversity of the city’s culture and arts influenced by the coming of Spanish, Chinese and the American people along with other foreign nationals who at this present time, live and thrive peacefully and harmoniously through generations.
Dumaguete’s celebration of culture invites people from all over the Philippines and the world over witness the weeklong activities varying from food bazaars, cultural presentations, public concerts and the like.
The influx of tourists can be evident at the Rizal Boulevard area where the “Himamat” - the re-enactment of the coming of foreign nationals and the Pasundayag – the street dance competition among barangays are held.
The Comfort Lounge during these activities will surely contribute to the accommodating feel of the city, as the said facility will not only serve as toilet and wash room but also provide space for bystanders who will be witnessing the program.
Indeed, the facility serves its purpose for the community especially in big events held at the Rizal Boulevard.
