Estimados amigos y colaboradores, ¿cómo están?
Nosotros felices porque volvimos sobre un tema fundamental en Chile: la educación técnica (tanto escolar como profesional). Esta nueva iniciativa, que está en el sitio www.mejoralatecnica.cl busca ser la primera plataforma colaborativa para levantar una propuesta de política pública en tiorno a la Educación técnica para Chile.
¡Todos están invitados a participar, de cualquier parte del mundo!
Para un contexto, el 41% de las y los estudiantes de educación superior son técnicos profesionales, sin embargo, sólo les llega un 22% del total del presupuesto destinado a educación terciaria. Visibilizar y mejorar la Educación Técnica es un gran desafío del que Educación 2020 invita a hacerse cargo a través de la campaña #MejoraLaTécnica.
La Educación Técnica es esencial para el desarrollo del país y las personas, por lo que es fundamental contar con una Educación Técnica de calidad, que promueva la formación permanente e integral, con personas innovadoras y creativas, cuyo pensamiento crítico y compromiso social sea el motor de la construcción del país.
Como dijho Patricio Carrasco, investigador dedicado al tema: “construir una nueva Educación Técnica es una prioridad política y social para un país que quiere avanzar y ser menos desigual. Es necesario que tomemos conciencia de la importancia de este tipo de educación, no basta con que digamos que es importante si no hacemos nada. Por eso desde Educación 2020 hacemos este llamado a participar y a aportar”.
Es por eso que lanzamos la campaña #MejoraLaTécnica, con la invitación a todos los ciudadanos y ciudadanas a inscribirse en el sitio web www.mejoralatecnica.cl para aportar con sus ideas y propuestas, y construir entre todos una nueva Educación Técnica para el país.

We´re happy because we came on a key issue in Chile: technical education (both formal and vocational). This new initiative, which is on the site www.mejoralatecnica.cl seeks to be the first collaborative platform to build a public policy proposal for technical education in Chile.
Everyone is invited to participate from anywhere in the world!
For a context, in Chile, 41% of students in higher education are professional technicians, however, they only get 22% of the total budget for tertiary education.
