El Cocuy is a village in the state of Boyaca in Colombia.
Due to its characteristics, the education level is very low and the majority of its population lives close to poverty and their economy is based mostly on agricultural tasks.
Total population of El Cocuy is aprox. 5.000 people and its main school is Jose Santos Gutierrez school.
From this school depends Carrizalito school located nearby the main town with 19 students and two classrooms.
We are committed to improve the access to education of these students and with this in mind we will install high speed internet, improving connectivity, so they can use it on their daily activities and also provide them with computers or tablets so they can have better access to tools and study material, improving their education and life possibilities.
