By David Umana | Educaiton Manager and project leader
While continuing to help our initial group of children in Villa de Leyva, with tablets and also covering all the costs of WiFi for the public school Antonio Ricaurte, and after also helping children in Chocontá, for the first time we started helping children in Bogotá.
Our first beneficiary was Yuri Pamela, a 16 year old girl who was displaced with her family (mother and 8 siblings) from Mogotes, Santander, more than 200 Kms north of Bogota, fleeing from violence and in search of new opportunities they settled in the capital of the country in January of this year.
With the help of Educaiton and its donors, we are paying her monthly tuition and Yuri will be able to finish 10th grade and we will continue to help her next year guaranteeing her complete secondary education and allowing her to dream of university.
