As winter approaches, the school is now seeking support to distribute warm clothing and winter essentials to ensure student safety, comfort and uninterrupted school attendance.  

Challenges

Children from low-income communities face multiple challenges that affect their education and well-being. Many families cannot afford basic necessities such as groceries, stationeries, learning materials or warm clothing. With winter nearing, the lack of adequate winter wear increases children’s vulnerability to illness, resulting in absenteeism and reduced learning capacity. Rising prices of food and educational materials also create pressure on the school’s ability to maintain weekly meal programs and continuous support for students. Additionally, academically bright students often face the risk of dropping out due to financial hardship, limiting their opportunities for a better future.

Weekly cooked meals, snacks and fruits are offered to ensure students maintain good health and concentration in class. For the upcoming winter, the school plans to distribute sweaters, blankets and winter kits to safeguard students’ health and maintain regular attendance.
