Restoring Mobility, Dignity and Independence
Our “Equip Disabled with New Crutches” project is designed to help people living with physical disabilities regain greater independence, safety, and dignity in their daily lives. For many people who depend on crutches every day, poorly designed or worn-out mobility aids can cause pain, pressure on the nerves, wrist and shoulder strain, poor posture, and an increased risk of falls. Through this initiative, we aim to provide high-quality, ergonomic crutches adapted to each beneficiary’s individual needs, while working with qualified physiotherapists and occupational therapists to ensure proper assessment and fitting. With a total project budget of $100,000, our goal is to reach people who have been living with inadequate mobility equipment and help them move with greater comfort and confidence.
At this stage, no project funds have yet been raised, and the project is in its preparation phase. Our team is currently identifying qualified trainers and potential learners/beneficiaries and preparing the implementation process, with the project scheduled to begin in November 2025. We are committed to being transparent with our supporters: activities that have not yet taken place are presented as planned rather than completed. The next phase will focus on beneficiary assessment, professional training, equipment selection and fitting, and distribution of appropriate crutches. We expect the project to reduce physical strain, improve mobility and daily activity, reduce the risk of secondary injuries, and strengthen participation in family, community, educational, and economic life.
This project is about more than providing a pair of crutches. It is about giving people the possibility to move without unnecessary pain and to participate more fully in their communities. We sincerely thank GlobalGiving for its collaboration and for helping us connect this initiative with a wider community of international supporters. With this partnership, we are confident that we can mobilize the resources needed to reach our $100,000 goal and turn this project into a meaningful reality. We invite individuals, foundations, organizations, and partners around the world to stand with people living with disabilities by contributing to this high-impact initiative. Every donation can help bring safer mobility, greater independence, and renewed hope to someone who needs it. Thank you to all our donors and supporters for believing in inclusive healthcare and for helping us build a future where disability does not have to mean dependence or exclusion.
