The contributions received so far have already made a tangible difference. Some fishermen have already received their VHF radios, giving them a direct line of communication in an emergency. These distributions represent real progress and are the first step in a wider safety program.
Current Status
We have not yet reached our fundraising goal. Many fishermen still need equipment, and the work is not finished. The funds raised to date have been put to use for the program, and we are committed to building on that momentum rather than pausing.
The Way Forward
This initiative is ongoing and will continue. BarbudanGO will keep raising funds until every fisherman who needs safety equipment has been reached. Going forward, we will:

Two years in, the work is far from over, but it has already begun to save lives. With continued support, BarbudanGO will keep working until Barbuda's fishermen have the safety equipment they need to return home safely.
