The people who keep Ukraine's essential services running continue to work under extraordinary circumstances. Every day, employees in public transportation, energy, and other critical infrastructure sectors face risks that require not only dedication, but also practical knowledge and the confidence to respond in emergencies.
Through the Save the Workers program, Mission Kharkiv continues to strengthen the resilience of these professionals by delivering practical first aid and emergency response training tailored to the realities of working during wartime.
During this reporting period, our team conducted 24 training sessions, bringing together 351 participants from critical infrastructure sectors.
The trainings included:
Beyond teaching technical skills, these sessions help participants build confidence in their ability to act during emergencies, support colleagues, and make informed decisions under pressure. Strengthening these capacities contributes not only to individual safety but also to the resilience of the services that millions of people rely on every day.
Every participant who completes the training becomes better prepared to respond when seconds matter. This knowledge has the potential to protect coworkers, passengers, and members of the community, creating a lasting impact that extends well beyond the classroom.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who supports the Save the Workers program through GlobalGiving. Your generosity helps ensure that Ukraine's essential workers have access to the knowledge and practical skills they need to continue serving their communities safely.
Together, we are investing in preparedness, resilience, and the people who keep Ukraine moving forward.
