Training for Essential Workers in Ukraine

By Liudmyla Korol | Digital Communications Manager

In times of war, when Ukraine’s critical infrastructure continues to operate under constant pressure, frontline workers remain essential to sustaining everyday life. Their ability to respond, adapt, and continue working in high-risk environments is what keeps vital systems running across the country.

Through the Save the Workers program, Mission Kharkiv continues to strengthen the safety and preparedness of professionals working in these essential sectors by providing targeted training sessions focused on practical risk awareness and emergency response skills.

In April 2026, we conducted a total of 24 training sessions, reaching 351 participants across key infrastructure areas.

These trainings were made possible thanks to the continued support of our donors, whose commitment allows us to equip essential workers with knowledge that helps reduce risks in their daily work.

In total:

  • Public transport sector - 5 trainings for 74 participants
  • Energy and gas infrastructure sector -  19 trainings for 277 participants

Each session represents more than training. It is a direct investment in safety, preparedness, and resilience for those who keep Ukraine’s critical systems functioning under extraordinary conditions.

Your support ensures that essential workers are not left alone in managing the risks they face every day.

Thank you for standing with us, and for standing with the people who keep Ukraine running.
