This project aimed at promoting the well-being and health of underprivileged children(0- 18 years) in our community. ABI Welfare Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life for our targeted population in Osogbo and surrounding areas, and we believe that hosting a health fair would be an effective means to achieve this goal. This project will focus on health education awareness, early intervention and provision of onsite screening for malaria, tuberculosis and HIV.
There's a high child morbidity rate in our community due to lack of access to essential health services, undernutrition, poverty, parent illiteracy on health education and basic hygiene practices that might save their lives. Some children succumb to childhood diseases that are easily prevented through vaccines and early intervention.
This project will solve the problem by providing: Free Health Screenings for malaria, tuberculosis & HIV, onsite children vaccinations, informative sessions for parents/guardians on topics like nutrition, immunization, and child safety, physical fitness and healthy habits. It will also connect the underprivileged children to healthcare providers to receive free and adequate treatment once diagnosed.
This will make a lasting impact by increasing awareness about the importanceof children's health and well-being. It will provide access to essential health services and information for underprivileged children and their families. It will promote healthy lifestyles and preventive healthcare practices which will lead to grooming healthier generations with a decrease in mortality rate. It will also foster a sense of support for underprivileged children in Osogbo.
