By Francis Eghehan | Project coordinator
Dear Donors,
Thanks for your support to help us provide computer sets and other accessories for printing to enhance digital literacy at Our Lady Mother of Perpetual Help Primary/Secondary School & orphanage Home.
The above named organization is a community based center that caters for orphans and runs a school in their facility. A sister NGO was notified by the president of civil society association of Nigeria (CISAN), Rivers state chapter, of an appeal from an orphanage center that runs a school in need of assistance on digital literacy training for students in the school. This sister NGO happens to be one of our partners in Port Harcourt who have assisted us in two of our outreach campaigns; hence I was able to visit and conduct a needs assessment.
The uniqueness of this project is the fact that orphans would have opportunity to access digital literacy for free while other people from the community will pay to acquire computer skills. More income will be generated when they are able to print test and exams question from their facility, thereby ensuring sustainability.
